Daniel Taub expects of Israel with antagonists

Former Israeli diplomat to the United Kingdom, Mr. Daniel Taub has floated the idea of a possible unity in the Middle East. Israel and its traditional antagonists in the region have coalesced on some of the issues that affect the region.

One of the issues that have played a key role in bringing the countries together is the threat created by Iran’s nuclear weapons. Iran has been in the process of manufacturing nuclear weapons an act that other countries in the region see as a direct threat to peace and stability the region.

If Iran goes ahead with the nuclear ambitions, there is going to a huge problem in trying to solve the Middle East crisis. Daniel Taub who has taken part in peace negotiations deals in the region knows that such plans by Iran could distract any achievements made so far in trying to create stability.

While speaking to the “Independent” Daniel Taub said that a deal that was reached between the UN Security Council and Tehran would do nothing in solving the issues. The agreement does not in any way prevent Iran from going ahead with its nuclear weapons ambitions. The agreement which was signed in Geneva in 2013 was weak according to Taub and did nothing to cushion other countries from the threats posed by Iran nuclear weapons.

Israel took the matter with the seriousness it deserves. They immediately dispatched a team to the United States which is one of its allies to call for more action to be done regarding the Iran issues.

Daniel Taub who between 2011 and 2015 worked as an ambassador to the United Kingdom was of the opinion that there was a chance that Israel would work with the predominantly Sunnis Arab countries to pressurize the international community in putting more punitive measures on Iran if it went ahead with manufacturing of nuclear weapons.

Daniel Taub has participated in peace negotiations for the region and knows that if the Iran issues are not solved, chances of peace and stability in the region would still be low. Nuclear weapons in the hands of Iran could be nuclear weapons in the hands of the terror groups.

The Middle East countries are concerned with this development and are even ready to keep aside the traditional differences and work together for the common good of the region.
